WA Residential Battery Scheme – Save More with Solar Energy Storage

The Western Australian Government is making it easier for households to take advantage of solar energy storage with the WA Residential Battery Scheme. This initiative offers rebates to help eligible residents invest in home battery systems, reducing reliance on the grid and maximising solar savings.

How the Battery Scheme Works

From 1st July, 2025 there are both Federal and State Government rebates available for solar battery installations in Western Australia; the WA Residential Battery Scheme being the state rebate and the Cheaper Home Batteries Program being the national rebate.

The State Government rebate is $1,300, and The Cheaper Home Batteries Program offers eligible Australian households and small businesses up to 30% off the cost of installing small-scale solar battery systems, helping store renewable energy and reduce electricity bills.

The WA Government is also offering up to $10,000 in no-interest loans to low-middle income households purchasing a battery storage system on the WA Residential Battery Scheme.
Solahart is here to help you take full advantage of the both schemes with expert advice, premium battery solutions, and trusted installation.
